Yeppa! For the very first time, we meet children in another country – via internet! Here are our new friends at the Radiojo headquarters in Germany.
The Berlin girls were very surprised to hear us speaking German….
We exchanged songs, questions and answers, and we asked them what people can do to better the environment. And guess what: among the ideas of our Berlin kids were:
* Collecting garbage - which is what we did yesterday, as you will see in our blog soon. We collected garbage on the street and turned it into art.
* Planting trees – which is what we did after this talk with our German friends, as you can see in another blog section soon. In addition, we planted four olive trees in the back of our children’s home.
This was fantastic as we both got to fight for the environment together, with the same ideas, even if we are thousands of miles away from each other and have never met before! Here is how the Berlin kids saw us:
All of us want to continue this partnership with Berlin, and the kids in Germany also had tons of more questions.
So stay tuned for more!!!
Many thanks to our friends in Berlin, to Nicole who organized the Radijojo / Berlin bilingual School crew, to the Radijojo team – and of course to our new friends in Berlin: Mimai, Ruby, Hannah and Gwenny!!
